As I started my journey with Columbia Business School, one of the first courses we take up is the LEAD.

As part of its examination, which is also the first academic exam many of us have taken after years of working in the corporate, is an interesting one. The course primarily covers various leadership lessons, with scenarios ranging from hiring to negotiations.

The examination has multiple multiple choice questions, and importantly bunch of essays suggesting a plan of action one needs to take as part of a fictional company whose situation has been described as a case.

As I got started on answering the essay question, there was a brief moment of pause. A pause, a writer’s block, not because I was struggling with the answer, but the whole aspect of writing.
